Work Permit/Visa Issuance time frame. (Riyadh)

Hello everyone!

I will apologize in advance if this question has been asked several times before. I searched and couldn't find and answer.

1. Ho long does it take for the KSA authorities to issue a work authorization so I can visit the embassy to start the next phase?
2. How long does the embassy phase take?

FYI I signed my contract on December 4th and my employer applied for my papers around the same time. Is it normal for it not to have been issued this late in January?
