Experience with high schools in Rome?

Our family is moving to Rome in January Protected content . We'll be staying through June Protected content enrolling our son, age 14, in the 9th grade. We're considering the American Overseas School of Rome and the Rome International School. We would welcome feedback on these schools or any others that would help him learn Italian and immerse him in Italian culture. Great teaching is most important, college prep less so. A great location in the city near public transportation and affordable housing would be ideal (and is probably a pipe dream). Thank you for whatever advice you might offer.
