I'm a Canadian currently living and working in Istanbul since Protected content . My long term goal is to find a job in Italy and move there. I have been applying for many jobs in my field of librarian and teaching since Protected content it is very challenging! I have over 10 years of experience in my career and hold 4 university degrees and experience living abroad. The difficulty lies in that fact that I am not a EU citizen and most of the jobs state that one needs to already have a work permit to work in Italy.
I thought that an organization which would want to hire a person would apply for the work permit or am I wrong? I ideally would want to work as a librarian which is my field in an academic or a school library but I am also open to teaching. Any suggestions how I can have more luck with jobs in Italy?
I would really appreciate any guidance! Thanks Golda
