Unlocking an overseas BlackBerry to use in Italy (Rome)

Hi everyone,

I have a BlackBerry Bold Protected content am having a difficult time unlocking it so I can use an Italian SIM Card. I've spoken with my provider in America (T-Mobile) but they haven't been able to help out. I've purchased a Wind SIM Card, but it doesn't work when I put it into my phone (the screen says "Invalid SIM Card"). The Wind store here told me the problem is that my phone is still locked, though my US provider told me I had successfully unlocked it.

Very frustrating! Does anyone know a) where I can go in Rome for correct instructions on how to unlock this phone or b) know themselves how to do this? I am very appreciative ahead of time. Thank you!
