Working Visit (Rome)

Hi IN Rome,
I'll be in Rome tomorrow, 22 Aug, for a working visit and would stay there for 3 weeks. It'll be my first trip to Rome and I would appreciate it if you have suggestions on things to do and places to visit on weekends/evenings. Would there be an internations event during this time? I sure hope so...Have a nice day!!!
