voluntary work for homeless people (Salzburg)
You may have noticed that many people from southeastern Europe are begging in the streets of Salzburg or trying to sell magazines in front of supermarkets. Most of them are homeless, so there are two places for them to sleep (one for men, one for women).
During the day these sleeping places are closed and the people have to take care of their stuff - even worse for the real homeless people who sleep outside. They have problems to store their luggage during the day.
Therefore, the municipality wants to offer a so called "Packerl-Bus" (packages bus). This bus should store mattresses, etc. during the day.
The bus goes to "Arche Nord" (the house for the women, Rudolf-Biebl-Str. Protected content the morning and in the evening for more or less 30 min. Volunteers are required for this work.
If you want to help the Packerl-Bus voluntarily, contact the organization team via email E-Mail ( Protected content ) or phone (Christine: Protected content Protected content .
