Working Permits (Salzburg)

HI there!

I am looking to move to Salzburg probably in September of this year and was wondering if anyone could help me with some information on Work Permits. I have worked in Germany before and have obtained a work and residence permit, but this time it will be for the long run. My main question is, my main residence will be in Salzburg, but since Munich is a bigger city and I might be looking at jobs there as well, is there anyway for me to have my residence in Austria but work in another country lets say Germany? To my knowledge this is not possible. But any information/tips on how I can best get a work permit would be great. Thanks!
