San Diego Botabic Garden in Encinitas

I was thinking about taking my mother in law from Hyderabad, India to the botanical gardens in Encinitas this weekend. Has anybody been here? Is this a good place to take her? She's totally bored everyday without other Indians to socialize with except my husband. I have to work everyday so I hope I can do some fun things with her on the weekend.
