Health Insurance for expats? (San Francisco)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a minimal (read "inexpensive") health insurance that will cover me at least for serious problems.

I was oriented by a friend to Kaiser Permanente, they apparently have a plan atround $150 for what I'm looking for. I'm from Europe, France, not used to such high prices for a minimal insurance.

I can bite my bullet, but before that I thought I'd try out InterNations and see if you folks know of other alternatives. Expats-specific plans maybe?
