Money transfer to US account from overseas bank? (San Francisco)

Hi Guys, I am new in the country. Need your advice on the banking staffs:
- How to transfer the money for the services to US account, if yourself have no US account yet. Telegraphic transfers and PayPal takes a huge fee and its not working with me right now. Venmo app requires you social security no. (which is not available) or US Bank account? Any other opportunities to transfer the money without insulting fees?
- Is it possible to open the account in US Bank without social security number?
