Relocating South Bay SF with family public school (San Francisco)

Hello,
We are considering to move as expat to South Bay SF close to Foster City. We have 4 children (13, 7 and twins 6) and i am trying to find where are the best public schools: Redwood, Woodside, Burligame, East Palo Alto, etc? I found a website with ratings but i would prefer to have an advise from someone living there. I would like to find a neighborhood which give access to great public schools, a friendly place> We would rent first a house and then i would look to buy n the same district so that the children can stay in the same schools.
