Costa Rican public schools recently started a new semester but what most of us don’t see or know is that some 250,000 of the students will return to school with NO TEXTBOOKS. That’s right—public Costa Rican schools are tuition-free, but parents have to buy the textbooks, which are about $12 per child, but that is beyond the means of many families.
YOU CAN HELP this situation! The Women’s Club of Costa Rica (WCCR) has provided sets of textbooks to 4,800 students since Protected content partnership with La Nacion’s Libros Para Todos program. The Club has also provided over 1,000 high school and university scholarships since Protected content . We need your help to raise funds for the Protected content year.
You can donate a service or product for the auction or make a donation. To see how you can help visit Protected content or visit the Facebook page of the WCCR: Protected content
