Guanacaste expats? (San José)

I know this is a San Jose forum, but there's not much out there for expats in other areas of CR. I am wondering how many members of this group are connected with the Guanacaste area?

My wife and I plan to retire and move to Tamarindo within the coming year. We have made several trips to the area and have purchased and started furnishing a condo, have a bank account, etc. We will apply for Pensionado residency once there. (We are attracted by the beach and restaurants and realize we will tire of the tourists!)

We are interested in knowing of any expat organizations in the Guanacast area, to meet other expats and to learn of opportunities in the area to become involved with.
