Live Music in CR? (San José)

HI all - I just joined the site/forum hoping to gain some information as I am planning to come to CR in November for (initially) a six-month stay. I am a professional musician in Canada and am hoping to work in CR as such during the winter. I play many instruments, but mainly guitar, and sing - most of my shows are solo.
If anyone could give me info on the live music scene in San Jose, Liberia, or the Guanacaste area (bars, clubs, resorts) and/or connect me with these types of places I would appreciate it. I have contacted the CR embassy in Canada and the process to register to work as an artist there seems pretty straight forward.
I look forward to corresponding with you and finding out as much as I can before the fall when I pack up and escape the Canadian winter/spring.
