Wanting to Relocate! (San José)

Hello everyone! My wife and I are considering relocating from Austin, TX to Grecia, CR in the not-so-distant future. We've been looking at homes, apartments, and condo's online and still are not sure of how to first make our move. We'd like it to be as painless and easy as possible.

However, we're also considering some of the more coastal cities and are wondering where the most cost effective places to live are? We both have solid careers here in Texas, but we're just tired of 'keeping up with the Jones' and would rather simplify our lives somewhere in paradise.
