Working in Costa Rica (San José)

Hi,
I'm not sure where to begin with questions.
I am a wedding photographer and am looking into moving to either Bali or Costa Rica to do destination weddings. I have spent time in both of these places, but don't know anything about what it takes to actually make this move work.... banking, living, if it would be a problem to work. My work would really be providing services to tourists.

Does anyone have any starting suggestions...suggestions for where to find more information about what I would need to consider and how to begin? I also have a small dog that I would like to eventually bring with me. I can leave her with my family to start with and want to make it as easy for her as I can.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
