Can I renew my tourist visa in Santiago? (Santiago de Chile)

My tourist visa expires next week and I don't really want to do the "Mendoza Run" in order to renew my tourist visa. I heard there is aplace on San Antonio where I can renew for $100 US. Can someone please provide some guidance?
