Cycling around Santiago (Santiago de Chile)

Hi all,

Recently came to work in Santiago. I'm thinking about having my race bike shipped to Santiago.I would like to go out and bike in the weekends outside Santiago. However I'm wondering if it's worth the effort. Are there any bikers among you who can tell me something about biking around Santiago? Is there any biking club here in Santiago ( Tour the France style biking)?

I would also be interested in taking dancing classes (Salsa), any tips on that?

Furthermore, is the Internations community in Santiago very active? I would love to join one of the activities/gatherings!

All tips are welcome and are very much appreciated as I'm totally new to Santiago/Chile.
