(financial) support for research needed (Santiago de Chile)

Hi, i am writing this, hoping that someone of you can help me. I work for a very small company (consultancy for human resources). My contract is limited. They are willing to extend the contract but don`t know how to finance it (very small company) . Since the focus of the job will lie in research (collecting data) we are trying to find a different way – for instance – asking foundations / institutions etc. to support the research. Any ideas? I appreciate any kind of suggestions that could help.
