Retirement communities (Santiago de Chile)

I'm planning a vacation soon to check out Chile as a possible place to retire. Does anyone know of any American or English speaking expat communities that I might visit? I think I would be more comfortable in one of these communities for maybe 1 year. I do not enjoy heat & humidity. I don't mind cold and snow but I don't think I'd like a rainy area. I'm thinking somewhere between Lautaro and Puerto Varas. I imagine some areas have a higher cost of living than others. I need to make my retirement income stretch as far as possible.
