Teaching English??? (Santiago de Chile)

I have been job hunting for a few months now and have not found anything. Since, I am a native English speaker a friend of mine suggested I look into teaching conversational English. However, I am not familiar with the process of being an English teacher and don't know where to begin searching.
Any suggestions?
