Meet at the airport an hour before our morning flight. Arrive in Calama and take private transportation from Calama to San Pedro de Atacama. Check into the hostel, tour the town, relax and eat lunch. Take an afternoon tour to Valle de la Muerte and Valle de La Luna. After the sunset, trek through some caverns for some star-gazing and arrive back into town with time for dinner.
After breakfast, leave around noon toward the artisan town of Toconao, then eat a freshly prepared lunch(included) in Socaire, visit the Lagunas de Miscanti and Meñiques which are Protected content high in the Chilean altiplano (high plane), named because of their corresponding volcanoes that overlook them. Then head to the famous Salar de Atacama to the Laguna de Chaxa to watch the majestic flamingoes bathe and fly in the setting sun. Return to San Pedro with time for dinner.
Wake up very early to make it to the Geisers del Tatio by sunrise. It's early and cold, but undoubtedly worth it. After eating breakfast with the geysers surrounding us, we'll get the chance to bathe in a completely natural volcanic thermal pool. Return to San Pedro to grab lunch before the afternoon excursion. Leave mid-afternoon toward the Laguna Cejar, a huge salt lake that you cannot sink in, Salar de Tebenquinche where it seems as if you're walking on water, and the Ojos del Salar where we go cliff jumping.
Th day is free to add extra excursions, take advantage of the free bicycles provided by the hostel, or explore. Our private transportation will get us back to Calama in time for our afternoon flight.
