advice for visa process for my Brazilian wife (São Paulo)

Hello!

My wife and I have been married for over a year. I am American but have a permanent visa for Brazil. She is Brazilian but has never left Brazil. We would like to get a visa for her so we can visit my family in the States.

I would really like someone with personal experience to give me some direction. What are the first steps? Any advice? Clues?
