Apartment nightmare! Help! (São Paulo)

Hi guys.
I am new to this internations business and even newer to Sao Paulo because I haven't even arrived yet!

My girlfriend is a Paulistana and is living in Pinheiros at the moment with her family.
We are currently scouring the net for a reasonably-priced Protected content p/mth) 1-br apt central but not too mental, ie pinheiros, vila madalena etc.

Can anyone recommend a good place to look online for accommodation without posts from Dr Honest Umbongo, complete with his recently-acquired multi-million £ inheritance offer?

Or even better, if anyone has any genuine offers or just general advice I'd love to hear from you.

Looking to rent from April onwards, furnished if possible.
