Applying for a Vitem V (São Paulo)

Hello all!

I'm an American applying for a Vitem V visa. A ONG here in São Paulo will sponsor me and we intend to sign a one year contract. We have all the documents and are ready to hand them into the Ministro do Trabalho.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how long the process took for them, if they have an agency they reccomend, or if you think we can do the process without an agency. We've contacted one that offered to do the process for R$3600. Is this fair?
