Aussie looking for Visa help (São Paulo)

Hi guys,

ive done more research into applying for visas for Brazil. My partner is a Brazilian resident, and we have been together for 2 years, with 6 months long distance. I have looked at the civil partnership visa, and our issue is that my partner is a full time student and cannot prove that he can financially support me during the process. Is there a way around this? e.g. if i have enough funds to show i can support myself, is there a need for my partner to support me in this sense? and if so is there a minimum amount of funds needed for the process? If anyone has been through something similar and can offer me any advice i would be forever grateful. My other option is a working visa, but thats a whole other ball game
