Book Club Orhan Pamuk's Istanbul - Oct. 28th (São Paulo)

Hello!
I invite you all to discuss Orhan Pamuk's Istanbul: Memories and the City.
Our meeting is going to be FRIDAY OCTOBER 28TH, from 7:00 p.m. on.
It is going to be held at the Casa das Rosas (the café in the back), avenida Paulista 37, near Brigadeiro subway station, and Paulista mall.

About the book:
It is steeped in nostalgia...Pamuk defines this emotion as ‘huzun’ (the word needs little dotty things over the ‘u’s but I don’t know how to do them). He distinguishes his use of the term huzun from other usages:

"not the melacholy of a solitary person, but the black mood shared by millions of people together. What I am trying to explain is the huzun of an entire city, of Istanbul. (p. 83)
