Lost passport - lost permanent visa (São Paulo)

Has anyone ever lost their passport with their permanent Brazilian visa in it? I have my RNE...do I need to get a new permanent visa sticker in my new passport? If anyone knows anything at all about how to go about this, please help! I can't find anything online and depending on the person I talk to at PF, I get a different answer, yikes!
