Moving to Sao Paulo - Next internations meeting? (São Paulo)

Hello!

My wife and I (and our 5 month baby) may be moving to Sao Paulo later this year or early in the new year; as our company is expanding into Brazil. We still have to decide whether to move here or not, and for that I have come for a couple of weeks to find out details about living in this city.

I have arrived today to Sao Paulo and I was wondering whether there is any internations meeting in the next days that I could attend whilst here?

I have read the posts in this forum and that has been very helpful, but if anyone else has further advice on:

* where to live, particularly a good safe place (we have heard some scary stories about safety in Sao Paulo). I've heard that places can be more expensive than in the UK?
* living with babies/toddlers, i.e. nurseries, extra curricular activities for toddlers, parents groups and the like;
