Moving to SP (São Paulo)

My wife and me will be moving to SP in September. My new offices are in R. Canada, Jardins Paulistas and I would like so advise on where should we look for an apartment to rent with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, livingroom, service area and parking place. Should I just consider Jardins? Is it very expensive?

On the other hand, I am concern with security issues. I know that things are never as bad as one reads on the papers, but what basic precautions should we take?

One final question. I normaly commute on a motorcycle. Is it safe to do it in SP?
