Seeking Acquaintances! (São Paulo)

Hello everyone,

My name is Kareem. I moved to Sao Paulo last July and enjoy the city very much!

However, I haven't had much luck in plugging into. I read somewhere that Tom Jobim said "Brazil is not for beginners!" If that's true, then I must be the new kid at school.

Any recommendations for events, or locations where expats and native Brazilians mingle would be appreciated.
