Wealth Manager / Independent Financial Advisor (São Paulo)

I have recently been asked to live in Sao Paulo and become a "Wealth Manager" or "Indepenent Financal Advisor". Its not something I've done before but would suit me very well and I'd love to do it.

What I'm trying to find out is how IFA's are regarded or percieved in Sao Paulo. Some have said that there is a real need and I would do well, but others have implied that they are seen with a possible negativity. I'm now 40 and can't really afford to get this one wrong, so hoping people might share their thoughts.

Would you appreciate someone like myself knocking on your door offering free financal advice for an hour of your time and 6 introductions ? Thanks !
