Marcus Pimpleton, Director, Seattle Public Schools All-City Band, announced the line-up today of the visiting music groups performing at this year's "All City Band Jam Protected content . Performers at this event will include Seattle Sounders Sound Wave, Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline, Pacific NW Drumline, and the Protected content City Band.
This event is the 2nd annual Band Jam and is held the evening before the Torchlight Parade. The event allows other visiting musical groups, who will also be performing at the Torchlight Parade, the opportunity to perform with and meet the other musicians and to develop a greater appreciation between them and the public in a close-in stadium setting.
This event is FREE to the public with donations being accepted to help cover costs.
The Seattle Schools All-City Marching Band Protected content < Protected content is a summer music organization comprised of Protected content from over 15 high schools from Seattle, Tacoma, Lynnwood, Redmond, and all points between, has been a staple of Seattle's summer celebrations since Protected content . The program emphasizes musicianship, leadership, sprit, dedication, and pride while providing students with an opportunity to represent their community as ambassadors for music, youth, and schools. The band performs in upwards of 20 parades and community celebrations throughout the Puget Sound region and has traveled to Southern California, Hawaii and most recently Washington D.C. where the represented the State of Washington in the National Independence Day Parade. More than that, our students develop lifelong friendships with peers from all over the Puget Sound region.
