Inquiry to expats who may or have lived in Quito. (Seattle)

If anyone knows of a homestay to learn Spanish and of any expats living in Quito and where I could find them. Please get back to me. I want to go there this winter (winters in Seattle can be cold, always damp, and the darkness drives me crazy)

I want to live in Quito for about three months - Jan- March and would like to know if anyone knows expats who I can meet and get to know them; and find information regarding travel options or tours to Colombia. I have been to SA three times.
