The Seoul Global Center presents The Foreigners’ Flea Market for expanding exchanges between the foreign residents and Seoul citizens. We invite you to come and join us in this spirit of sharing and to encourage the recycling of used goods. Vendors must be foreigners. Korean citizens may participate as vendors when accompanied by foreigners. Please register first. It’s totally free of charge.

Korean Cooking Class

DESCRIPTION: The class is hosted by the Itaewon Global Village Center. Participants will learn to make two Korean dishes: Sam-gye-tang & Sam-saek-jeon
Sam-gye-tang is a very popular dish in Korea that traditionally eaten on the hottest summer days. Sam-gye-tang, particularly its ginseng proponent, is revered as a medicinal dish that induces sweating, which “detoxifies” you, and ultimately rejuvenates. Sam-saek-jeon means three different colors of pan cakes. Jeon is a kind of “Korean pancake” like Kimchijeon or Haemoolpajeon. This time we will make three kinds of jeon, made with fish, green pumpkin, and mushrooms.
