FREE EVENT: Seoul Management Lecture

Seoul Management Lecture from IE Business School and Spanish Embassy
Date: Saturday, April 13, Protected content -1:30pm
Lecture Title: The Secrets of Virtual Leadership: How to effectively lead people virtually.

Leading global organizations have to compete 24 hours a day, in both established and emerging markets, and in highly dynamic sectors. In global business, managers struggle with long distance collaboration and partnerships with people they have never met in person, through such impersonal means as email and video conferencing. Effective virtual collaboration is the key to ensuring these organizations can more effectively use their human talent to manage projects and people across borders or long distances and meet both stakeholder expectations and growth objectives. During this Executive Management Lecture, participants will learn how to effectively collaborate virtually and overcome challenges of leading a virtual team. Additionally, attendees will learn how blended MBA programs at IE can help prepare leaders who need to manage people virtually.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
A Canadian alumni of IE Business School’s MBA and Master in Finance programs, Joël has a background in financial services, pharmaceuticals, and higher education. Previously Director of Financial Aid at IE, he is now the International Development Director for Asia Pacific. Fluently trilingual, Joël has extensive experience in managing high-performance, geographically disbursed teams of professionals.
