Offer from Daejeon (Seoul)

Hi!
I'm an undergraduate and recently I found an offer as a research assistant in a university there (related to science). They are going to pay me about 600USD approximately, which is Protected content won.

Although I'm bit familiar with korean culture and living style through K-dramas and K-pop, I feel uneasy, having no friends there. I need to find out if the salary is enough, how to find reliable accommodation and specially I want to find a good friend who can assist me in familiarizing with the environment.

I'm also an English teacher, If it is possible, I'd like to do part time as a teacher. Is it possible, being non native speaker?

If anyone can give me a help, It would be a great support for me..
