We suggest starting from Xizha, west side. Restored to its ancient splendor by skilful hands, it offers many cultural and commercial opportunities. Entering from the main entrance (located in Shifo Nord street) you can walk through Xizha and discover its charm and treasures. You will thus meet an ancient Indigo Fabric Workshop. Specialized in indigo colored products, it still produces according to the techniques of the past and with pure natural raw materials. Further along, you cannot miss the Footbinding Culture Museum, a unique place to discover such ancient and controversial tradition. At the end of the street you will be captured by the views of the bridge in the bridge. An ideal place for great photographs and to admire some of the most famous stone bridges that this city holds. From here, you can go back along the opposite side of the Xishi River. The Water Market, located at the end of the walk, offers one of the most spectacular settings in the whole of Wuzhen. You can buy local products directly from the boats, just as it has been happening for centuries. After the lunch break, regenerated by local flavors, you can move to the Dongzha area. This scenic area, located on the east side, maintains the extreme charm of an ancient and authentic city. The cultural and traditional heritage is surprisingly rich. You will thus immediately encounter a Chinese Shadows theater, where you can watch a traditional show made of puppets, shadows, and stories of the past and ancient music. Following Via Dongzha you can stop at the Historical Gongsheng distillery. In a very suggestive building, where owners still produces rice wine according to traditional methods. We suggest you to visit the Folk Customs Museum and the Ancient Bed Museum for a real jump in the past. Stop and watch the Bamboo pole Climbing and the Martial arts on boat. Check schedules to make sure you do not miss these shows. At the end of such a busy day, stop on the west end of Dongzha, on the south side, at the Fanglu Pavilion. This most famous tea house in the city will be the perfect place to end your visit in the wonderful and surprising Wuzhen.
