Director of Operations, HR and Finance
The Essential Learning Group is looking for a bilingual (English and Mandarin Chinese) senior leader to come on board as HR, Operations and Finance (HOF) Director. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, has ambition to work in a dynamic international team and is passionate about changing the lives of children with special needs and their families.
General Responsibilities
•Manage and supervise HOF Department.
•Formulate, monitor and update HOF strategy, policies and processes.
•Maintain relationships and liaise with related government agencies and representatives.
•Maintain relationships and liaise with external legal team. Make sure all the documentation and organizational processes meet legal requirements.
HR Responsibilities
•Manage and organize the HR life cycle.
•Make sure legal documentation is as per the latest labor law guidelines issued by PRC and local government.
Operations Responsibilities
•Formulate, implement and supervise operational policies, processes and procedures.
•Manage facilities, Office Supplies, IT etc.
•Manage short and long term projects.
Finance Responsibilities
•Formulate, implement and supervise financial policies, processes and procedures.
•Prepare and supervise financial documentation. Finance report, Budget report, cash flow report etc.
•Manage, supervise and monitor Account Receivables and Account Payables. Maintain and update payment collection policies and process.
•Monitor and control expenses.
Qualifications and Experience
•Excellent (native-level) English speaking and writing skills. Fluent in spoken Mandarin, basic reading and writing skill.
•Minimum education: B.A/B.S. graduate. MBA preferred.
•Minimum 5 years of work experience in related field.
•Previous experience in managing a team.
•Experience in education management sector.
•Experienced in solving issues and prioritizing tasks.
•Previous experience in working multi-cultural team in China.
•Excellent computer proficiency:
oMS Office is necessary, particularly MS Excel.
oAccounting software knowledge required (QuickBooks, etc).
oMS Project Management is preferred.
•Project management skills are advantageous.
•Must be passionate about social causes.
