E-scooters (Shanghai)

Hi everyone,

I am researching online but InterNations seems to be my forever source of non-nonsense advice for Shanghai.

I love motorcycles, but it seems e-scooters are the way forward in China. What should I be looking out for when buying a 2nd hand one (looking at SmartShanghai)?

I understand there are restrictions on the power? And registration is required.

If anyone can offer some advice that would be great.
