Exploring interesting places (Shanghai)

hey guys ... so I am planning on going to some worth visiting places near shanghai like Hangzhou, Thames town, Putuoshan island, Suzhou...etc and may be if possible Beijing.. as I am here for an internship most of these trips would be 1/2 day trips on weekends.. i am looking forward to meet people who share the same passion in exploring such places and experiencing China in a unique way.. as I am here only for next 2 months I would like to make most of it.. so if any one is interested in planning such trips and joining me on this backpacking mission I am most happy to meet you guys .. I am also very much interested in knowing if anyone has any suggestion about more places to visit and things to do nearby.. hope this thread will bring some adventurous and cool people together ..
