Leisure activities in/around Shanghai

Hey All,
I'm moving to Shanghai shortly and wanted to find out a little about some leisure activities. I saw there are two places where you can go horse riding - has anyone tried either of these out?
Any other suggestions for fun stuff to do would be welcome :)
