Looking to meet people and get to know Shanghai

Hi,

New to Shanghai, I'll be here on extended business travel for the next few months and wanted to meet some friends here and start discovering the city. I landed Sunday night so I am literally brand new, anything I learn will be exciting.

Born in Canada, lived in Germany, but have been in Texas many years now and am an adopted Texan :) Fluent in French, English, German, Sarcasm and conversational in Spanish. Interests include sports, excercise(long distance running, ran my first half marathon in Fort Worth earlier in the year) and being active in general so if there are any running clubs or recreational sport leagues(basketball/soccer) I would be interested to join.

Appreciate any help in getting to know the city, even if it's just to meet for a beer and tell bad jokes.
