Questions about Teaching English in Shanghai
Hi Fellow Internationals,
I was recently offered a job teaching English with EF (English First). They offered to sponsor my visa, pay me a small salary, and health insurance. I've been reading some negative reviews about them on the forums. Not sure how to proceed.
On the one hand I very much want to come to China for the experience and to learn Mandarin. I would like to be in Shanghai, and I would need a visa. On the other hand I want to be using my time as effectively as possible and not feel stuck in a low-paying time-wasting job.
I wondered what the people here had heard about EF. What other opportunities am I missing?
Any advice and counsel is very much appreciated.
