Things to do in Shanghai

Hi all, my name is Vicky and I am 25 years old. I moved here with my husband in July so still new to Shanghai!

I am just wondering if people have some ideas of any volunteering positions or things to do during the day, group meets ups etc?

I used to work in Clinical Research but that field seems out the question in China as I don't speak Mandarin, so while I am job hunting I'm looking for things to fill up my time. I volunteer a couple of mornings a week and have 3 hours of mandarin lessons, but need to fill up the rest of my time!

Any ideas/suggestions greatly welcome :) And also if anyone wants to meet up at any point I am generally pretty free :)
