To continue our growth, we are currently looking for a Compliancy Manager China - Shanghai.
UNILIN's IP department has licensed out its patented clic technology to the main flooring producers world-wide. Several Chinese producers have already entered into a license agreement over the past years (+/ Protected content and this amount of customers is still growing. A dedicated young and dynamic team of currently 3 people is based in Shanghai to manage these Chinese licensees. Managing these licensees remains a challenging task. A lot of energy needs to be invested to make sure that these customers comply with the obligations of the license agreements they entered into.
Therefore we are currently looking for a Compliancy Manager who will support UNILIN’s licensing team based in Shanghai.
o do the necessary research together with market researchers based in Luxembourg and analyze the info to identify the non-compliant companies.
o prepare/support independent auditors that are allowed to do royalty review audits at Chinese licensees’ premises
o execute strategy to act against this non-compliance
o support our sales staff during negotiations against non-compliant companies.
o will report to the Licensing Manager for China, but will also have frequent contact with the licensing colleagues based in Luxembourg.
• You speak fluent Mandarin, English and are based or willing to be based in Shanghai.
• University degree in applied economics / management / marketing, preferably complemented by an MBA and/or relevant overseas work experience
• Minimum 5 years professional sales- & marketing experience in branded environment or a proven track record of strong sales development in both mainland China and Hong Kong/Shanghai markets
• Pro-active, hands-on, entrepreneurial, very organized, strong time management skills, able to thrive & excel under stressful conditions
