2 weeks in Shenzhen

Hi, I am arriving in Shenzhen next week for a 2 week stay but I need some advice on hotels. Last time I stayed near my company HQ in Longgang district (Bantian) which is a long way from the city. I don't want to commute for an hour at each end of the day, but is there an option to stay nearer the city, say a 30 minute commute? Is Futian an option? I am looking for somewhere with a little more to see and do in the evenings.
