Ascott or Fraser?! (Shenzhen)

Hello,
I am moving to shenzhen for 1 year and wold like to live in a serviced apartment in Shekou. As a younger expat without a family, would you recommend living in the Ascot or Fraser place?
I hear Fraser has more families but that's it. Any help would be much appreciated!
