considering a move to Singapore

hi everyone,

there is a good possibility i may be offered an interesting job in Singapore soon. I live in Amsterdam and life here is good, but I'm tempted by the thought of Asia and know Singapore is a great base to explore the region. I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on the pros and cons of life in Singapore itself. How's the social scene? Is Singapore an interesting place culturally? How does it feel over time - like a big city or a small village? What is the vibe of the city - comfortable but quiet or exciting and energetic? I won't get a chance to visit before i take the offer if it comes so i'd appreciate your insights!
