Could use a little help (Singapore)

Hello everyone, my name is Trevor McCabe and I have a great interest in moving to SG. I am currently in the USMC and have about 12 months left on contract. I would love to start a small business there and have a couple of ideas but have not decided on one specific as of yet. It might be smarter to find a job there first before I jump into trying things on my own, Does anyone have any advice for someone in my position? Does anyone know of any jobs that would be a good possibility for me? I do have the oppertunity to end my military contract sooner if there was a sufficient reason to do so. Thank you for any help anyone can offer me.
